The members of the Industrieverband Gießereichemie (IVG) today unanimously confirmed Dr. Carsten Kuhlgatz and Hannes Erger as members of the association’s board.
The Chairman of the Technical Committee, Dr. Michael Deißler, reported on current projects, such as the development of fact sheets and status reports as a valuable source of information for member companies on how to shape the upcoming challenges in the area of transformation and materials policy.
Finally, the members discussed the topic of “crisis communication” with Michael Koschare. And all this at a very special location – the Ideenexpo 2024 in Hanover.
There, foundry chemistry and foundries show young people with exciting hands-on exhibits, e.g. how the production of cast parts works thanks to foundry chemistry.
Castings are more relevant than ever and indispensable for the transformation: from taps and tools to future technologies such as motor blocks, battery trays for electric vehicles or scars for wind turbines as a connecting link between the rotor blade and the turbine.
