The German manufacturers of foundry chemical products are united in the Industrieverband Giesserei-Chemie e.V. (IVG) and offer competent services globally for the foundry industry.
The IVG is a trade association of the Verband der Chemischen Industrie e.V. (VCI), which is a member association of the Bundesverband der deutschen Industrie e.V. (BDI) and the European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC).
The manufacturers of foundry additives, molding material binders and molding material coatings who are members of the Industrieverband Gießerei-Chemie e.V. offer competent services for the global foundry industry. This means for the partners in the global foundry industry:

The most important areas of application for the foundries’ cast products are vehicle, machine and plant construction. IVG member companies are certified in accordance with quality assurance and environmental protection standards.
The member companies of the German Foundry Chemicals Association have committed themselves to the VCI’s global Responsible Care ® initiative.

The association was founded on May 10, 1951 in Düsseldorf under the name “Fachverband Kernbindemittel-Industrie e.V.”. The current association name “Industrieverband Gießerei-Chemie e.V.” was adopted at the general meeting on January 17, 1969 in Düsseldorf. This corresponded to the development of products and processes that the member companies had developed for their customers, the foundries, over the years.
